This has always been my favorite Christmas song, so I am sharing another version of it It is also the best example of the power of composing a song in a minor key. It imparts the perfect blend of mystery, seriousness, and awe. I have always loved the Latin versions of this music: the first version I ever heard was Mannheim Steamroller’s version. My brother, who was two at the time, would stop whatever he was doing, and stare at the CD player, his mouth forming a little “o”, while lightly swaying back and forth.
