How What You Wear Affects Your Mood
Comfort has always been my #1 priority in clothes. I can’t count HOW many times I’ve tried forcing myself to wear something fancy, or simply a little more girlie, and ended up leaving that piece of clothing in the back of my closet until the next year, when I would inevitably try and trick myself again.
This doesn’t mean I run around in sweatpants (not anymore), but if I don’t dress according to my mood or the activities I’m doing that day…the day just won’t be the same. I’m a tomboy, I’m laid-back, easy-going, and I sit cross-legged. A lot. So I wear jeans and form-fitting T-shirts. Tights, a tunic shirt or skirt, and dangly earrings when I’m feeling calm and feminine, and due to constant walking around Seattle, I’m almost ALWAYS in either Keen boots (winter) or Keen sandals (summer).
But this also works in the home.
I’m not naturally domestic, so it’s been a slow learning curve learning to cook and enjoy it. Oh, and cleaning…..occasionally. So to make this process more fun, I bought a super cute apron!
Here I am, looking deceptively domestic. But it worked! The apron made the kitchen so much more fun! (well, music always works magic as well). Here’s proof of the apron’s powers:

Ok, back to work.
